I really enjoyed this series. There is plenty of drama, mystery, love, and sex. The series begins with a young woman named Avery. After her father has been found guilty of laundering money from some very powerful and risky men through his failing business, the princess of high society and her father, have fallen from grace. After giving up information for a more favorable sentence, strangers beat Avery's father up. Now, two years later, flat broke, and taking care of her bed-ridden father, Avery has gone into the unground world of her small town to ask for a loan. Unfortunately, the only thing she has to sell is her virginity. Going through with the auction was humiliating enough, but being bought by Gabriel Miller, one of the many men her father stole from, is a problem. Armed with only her heart and what's left of her pride, Avery must keep her wits about her when Gabriel is so intent on destroying everyone in her family, including her. This series is very entertaining and each book leaves you with an edge-of-your-seat feeling you won't want to get rid of. There are plenty of twists and turns, while Avery and Gabriel are struggling with their arrangement, dark forces from both their pasts are coming to light and the couple will have to struggle to find out who is good and who is evil. This series is an easy read with plenty of steamy moments and life-threatening drama to keep you enthralled until the very end.
